Rear hatch struts for International Scout 80/800's. Finally a solution for those stock props that always seem to jam, get out of sequence, or just plain don't work. Install struts and let them do the work for you. Open your hatch 7 to 10 inches and let the struts do the rest! Struts are a bolt on replacement. Kit comes with all new grade 8 hardware. All hardware and end fittings are plated to resist corrosion, brackets are hard enamel coated, and struts can pass a 200 hour salt spray test. These will out last your rig for sure!
Scout II
These gas struts are a direct, bolt on replacement for the original Scout II hatch supports. Gone are the clunky, awkward, sticky stock sliders that always get out of sequence, get stuck up, or pinch your fingers. With these struts you can open the hatch about 10" and then let them do the work for you! They will lift your glass hatch to the full upright position and hold it there. This kit comes complete and ready to bolt on. All you need are a few simple hand tools (Phillips screw driver, 9/16'ths, and 1/2" wrench) Struts also have a 2 year free replacement warranty, with receipt. They are one of the best upgrades you can do to your scout period! Struts fit all Scout II's, 1971-1980. Auction is for a pair of struts. Will not fit Scout Travelers.
